Sleep-In Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Sleep‑In Support Worker to join our team at Riverside House, near Newnham on Severn, Gloucestershire. You will work a 7‑night on / 7‑night off pattern, providing safe, person‑centred care throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Remain on‑site from 19:00 to 07:00, sleeping when the house is settled and staying awake for any disturbances or emergencies.
• Deliver physical and emotional support tailored to each individual’s needs.
• Assist with medical and welfare requirements, including medication administration and health monitoring.
• Maintain accurate records and report on health and welfare matters as required.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure a clean, safe environment.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for helping vulnerable adults and promoting independence.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Sensitive, intuitive and able to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of health‑care practices and medication handling.
• Ability to observe, record and report health‑related information.
