Small Parts Fitter – Manufacturing (Basildon)

About the role

The Small Parts Fitter will join a leading agricultural vehicle manufacturer at its Basildon plant, repairing quality defects and fitting components on non‑conforming products. The role involves diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs, and supporting the production line to maintain high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose and repair quality defects and part shortages.
• Report defects, issues and repair requirements to the supervisory team.
• Escalate problems, risks or production issues that may impact quality, safety or delivery.

Required profile

• Proficient in safe use of a range of hand tools, power tools and assembly equipment.
• Basic understanding of unit parts, assemblies and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work within estimated repair times and across different assembly lines.
• Experience following instructions and procedures in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Team‑oriented with flexibility to adapt to varying production needs.
