SME Account Handler

About the role

We are partnering with a growing, people‑focused insurance business in Warrington. The SME Account Handler will work within an office‑based team, supporting a varied portfolio of small‑business clients and collaborating closely with Account Executives to deliver responsive, high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage renewals, mid‑term adjustments and client queries, ensuring a high level of service.
• Prepare documentation and quotations for additional insurance products.
• Support Account Executives on larger or more complex cases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers to maximise retention.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance at all times.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to progress cases efficiently.

Required profile

• Commercial insurance experience, or strong personal lines experience with a desire to progress.
• Familiarity with products such as Property, Liability, Fleet, Professional Indemnity, D&O, Cyber and packaged policies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confidence handling client enquiries via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
