SMT Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SMT Technician to join a well‑established electronics manufacturer in Cirencester. You will work on a busy production line, ensuring high‑quality output while supporting the engineering and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor SMT production equipment.
• Run and maintain SMT production lines to meet daily targets.
• Perform changeovers, machine programming and product set‑up.
• Inspect assemblies and identify quality issues.
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic fault finding on SMT equipment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Follow company procedures and IPC quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience running an SMT production line.
• Proven ability to operate SMT placement machines and related equipment.
• Confidence in machine set‑ups, changeovers and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read production documentation and follow work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of IPC standards is advantageous.
