Social Media Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a creative Social Media Assistant to support our client’s growing team in Plymouth. Working closely with the Social Media Manager, you will help shape the online presence across multiple platforms, create engaging content and contribute to campaign performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with day‑to‑day management of social media channels on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X.
• Create written, graphic and video content that captures audience attention.
• Research emerging platforms and trends, and optimise content for visibility.
• Encourage audience interaction and help grow online communities.
• Support planning and delivery of larger social media campaigns.
• Monitor competitor activity and identify growth opportunities.
• Analyse campaign performance using analytics tools and prepare insight reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align social media efforts with business objectives.
• Assist in developing influencer partnerships and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Creative, motivated and passionate about social media and digital marketing.
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Keen eye for detail and proactive problem‑solving.
• Strong IT aptitude and analytical mindset.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies, software and industry trends.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
