Social Sciences Lecturer – Full-Time (Temporary)

About the role

We are partnering with a Good Ofsted‑rated secondary school in Cambridgeshire to recruit an enthusiastic Social Sciences Lecturer for a full‑time, long‑term temporary placement starting September 2026. You will join a supportive department and help inspire students to explore psychology, sociology and related subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lessons in Social Sciences across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Plan, prepare and assess engaging lessons that promote critical thinking.
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted support.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching one or more Social Sciences subjects in a secondary or sixth‑form setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for the discipline.
• Effective classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to positive outcomes for all learners.
