About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a Good‑rated secondary school in Cambridgeshire to recruit a Social Sciences Lecturer for a full‑time, long‑term placement starting September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons in psychology, sociology and related subjects to Key Stages 4 and 5.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality lessons in Social Sciences.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor progress and support learners to achieve their potential.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold high teaching standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Social Sciences subjects in a secondary or sixth‑form setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for psychology or sociology.
• Effective classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
