Social Therapist – Inpatient Ward (Female Applicants)

About the role

Join Cygnet Hospital Ealing as a Social Therapist on the Sunrise Ward, a specialised 14‑bed eating‑disorder unit for women. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised social therapy interventions that support recovery and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assess service users for social therapy as part of a multidisciplinary needs assessment.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group therapy activities aligned with personalised care plans.
• Facilitate ward‑based projects, activities and groups to promote social engagement.
• Monitor progress, adapt interventions, and document outcomes.
• Participate in clinical meetings and liaise with colleagues, agencies, families and carers.
• Adhere to professional codes of practice and organisational policies.

Required profile

• Qualified in Social Therapy or Psychology (degree, postgraduate diploma, master’s or equivalent).
• Experience or strong interest in working within a care environment, preferably on an inpatient ward.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and follow an evidence‑based framework.
