Social Value Coordinator

About the role

The Social Value Coordinator will drive employment, education and community initiatives across our construction projects in the North West and North Wales. Working closely with project teams and external partners, you will ensure that social value commitments are embedded, measured and reported, leaving a lasting positive legacy for local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams and internal stakeholders to embed meaningful social value across all projects.
• Develop and support comprehensive social value plans that maximise community impact.
• Assist project teams in delivering employment and training programmes, including apprentice targets, and liaise with supply chains.
• Establish links with education providers, industry bodies and community organisations.
• Organise work placements, site visits and create educational resources.
• Support community engagement activities and build relationships with local VCSE groups.
• Capture, monitor and report social value outcomes against KPIs.
• Act as an ambassador for the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme, supporting audits and community liaison.
• Contribute to bid research and provide relevant case studies.
• Continuously improve processes by staying up‑to‑date with industry best practice.

Required profile

• Highly competent in Microsoft Office.
• Proven experience in a similar role involving community engagement and stakeholder management.
• Understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and the employment‑skills agenda (preferred).
• Knowledge of National TOMS and Social Value Portal or similar systems (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the region.
