About the role

Mercor is seeking experienced software engineers to work remotely on cutting‑edge AI training data projects. The position is contract‑based, 40 hours per week, and offers flexible hours to match project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute high‑quality training data for frontier AI systems alongside senior engineers.
• Develop and improve AI model performance through rigorous evaluation and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accuracy and depth of AI‑generated content.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet project deadlines.
• Enhance training data quality to boost downstream model performance.
• Adapt working hours flexibly to accommodate project timelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑time software engineering experience.
• Previous experience at a large tech company (e.g., Slack, Notion, Stripe, Figma, etc.).
• Currently based in the United Kingdom.
