Software Engineer (C++) – Hybrid, Up to £52k

About the role

Our client, a growing technology organisation, is looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join its Research & Development team. The role involves developing, maintaining and supporting a range of software applications, internal tools and APIs while working in a hybrid setting (one day on‑site in North Bristol).

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software applications using C++.
• Build, test and support software releases.
• Develop and maintain internal tools, APIs and web‑based applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver business‑critical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug and enhance existing applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and development best practices.
• Gain exposure to C#.NET‑Framework, MFC and DevOps practices.
• Work with modern cloud technologies on Azure and AWS.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of commercial C++ development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Passion for software development and emerging technologies.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
