Software Engineer – C/C++ (Hybrid, Stevenage)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced C/C++ Software Engineer to join a fast‑growing R&D team developing high‑performance network emulation products. The role is hybrid, with two days per week on‑site in Stevenage, and offers the chance to own backend development from concept to deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend systems.
• Translate high‑level requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, scalability and performance improvements.
• Deliver quality software within agreed timelines.
• Collaborate closely with product owners and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Strong experience in C/C++ development and object‑oriented design.
• Solid background working in Linux environments using GNU tools (gcc, gdb).
• Experience with network and multithreaded programming.
• Proven ability to mentor or support junior engineers.
