Software Engineer, Core AI Services

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join AVEVA’s Core AI Services team in Cambridge. You will design, develop and scale secure, reliable, cloud‑native AI‑enabling platform services and public APIs that become the foundation for AI adoption across our product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Build scalable, fault‑tolerant services on Microsoft Azure, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain secure, well‑documented public APIs and SDKs using ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions across data pipelines, orchestration and service APIs.
• Embed robust security controls to protect sensitive data and manage authentication/authorization.
• Participate in design and code reviews to uphold engineering excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in platform or cloud‑native service development.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, testing and lifecycle management.
• Experience deploying and debugging scalable services using PaaS, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical challenges.
