Software Engineer - Full Stack

About the role

Edinburgh Airport’s Software Engineering Team is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help create digital experiences that improve travel for passengers. You will work on passenger‑facing websites, internal tools, and the multi‑airport e‑commerce platform (AirportX) while collaborating with a small, distributed team of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI tools such as Claude Code to develop features across the entire stack.
• Design, prototype, test and launch new products and features in a fast‑paced environment.
• Participate in product discussions, contribute ideas and help shape the roadmap.
• Build and scale the AirportX e‑commerce platform for multiple airports worldwide.
• Share knowledge, promote best practices and mentor fellow engineers.

Required profile

• Experience building software with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code).
• Background in a small, lean engineering team (startup, scale‑up, or similar).
• Strong software engineering experience with JavaScript or PHP.
• Proven ability to design, build and integrate APIs.
• Experience in an e‑commerce or SaaS environment.
