Software Engineer – Government & Security Projects

About the role

Daintta is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver high‑quality software solutions for UK government clients in cyber security, national security, law enforcement and telecommunications. You will work closely with public‑sector stakeholders and internal project teams to turn data‑driven insights into robust applications.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to capture software engineering requirements and objectives.
• Design, develop, test and implement secure, scalable software using industry best practices.
• Architect solutions across multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to analyse feasibility and provide technical recommendations.
• Produce clean, well‑documented code and ensure quality through testing, debugging and code reviews.
• Stay current with emerging tools and technologies and share knowledge within the team.
• Support project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Participate in client pitches, presentations and contribute to company strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Professional experience as a software engineer, preferably in a consultancy or industry setting.
• Proven ability to work in Unix/Linux environments and with database systems.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies in a fast‑paced environment.
