Software Engineer in Test (C++ Automation) – FinTech

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well‑funded, award‑winning FinTech company in West London as a Test Analyst. Testing is at the heart of the business and you will be the team’s test specialist, shaping the testing effort and expanding an already mature testing framework.

Key responsibilities

• Design and author functional and non‑functional test cases for new C++ code.
• Develop and maintain automation test suites on Linux/Unix platforms.
• Drive the testing strategy as the first dedicated test hire for the team.
• Collaborate in pair‑programming sessions and contribute to code design with testing in mind.
• Extend existing testing infrastructure and introduce new testing types as needed.

Required profile

• 6+ years of commercial testing experience.
• Strong commercial coding experience in C++ on Linux/Unix.
• Proven automation testing background.
• Ability to formulate comprehensive test cases and think laterally.
• Comfortable working in pair‑programming environments.
