Software Engineer – Insurtech

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast‑growing, mission‑driven insurtech where you will take real ownership from day one. You will be shipping production‑ready features within your first few weeks, contributing to products used by thousands of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deliver customer‑facing insurance products across multiple product lines.
• Ship high‑quality production features early, taking real ownership.
• Contribute to new product launches, partner integrations, and platform enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Commercial and Data teams.
• Influence technical decisions and help shape the future direction of the engineering team.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability with a focus on engineering fundamentals.
• Background in Computer Science or a STEM discipline (2:1 minimum, Russell Group preferred).
• Experience or exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript and Python through industry, academic or personal projects.
• Interest in modern technologies such as AWS, Docker, SQL and front‑end development.
• Evidence of curiosity and passion for building things (personal projects, extracurricular activities).
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Must complete the interview process without the use of AI tools.
