Software Engineer

About the role

AJ Bell is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join its cross‑functional Agile team. You will work on a diverse technology stack, delivering services and APIs that support our investment platform and help customers manage their financial futures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C#‑based services and APIs.
• Collaborate with product owners and designers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Write clean, secure code and follow best practices for CI/CD using Jenkins and Git.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews and retrospectives within an Agile environment.
• Contribute to the evolution of our cloud infrastructure on AWS.

Required profile

• Strong experience building services and APIs with C#.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of secure development practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Git version control and Jenkins automation.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile, DevOps‑oriented team.
