Software Engineer

About the role

Join a leading global technology and professional services organisation as a Software Engineer in Manchester. You will develop cloud‑native applications and services within an agile environment, using modern technologies and deployment practices to deliver solutions that impact millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native applications and services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions.
• Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Ensure code quality through testing, accessibility, security, and performance best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and problem‑solving activities.

Required profile

• Commercial experience with Java, TypeScript, Python, Go or C#.
• Experience using a modern front‑end framework such as React, Angular, Vue or Svelte.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS (Azure or GCP knowledge is beneficial).
• Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, AWS CDK or Pulumi.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of accessibility, security and performance best practices.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving, debugging and communication skills.
• Eligibility to obtain SC Security Clearance (5‑year continuous UK address history required).
