Software Engineer – OO Systematic Hedge Fund

About the role

We are looking for strong OO developers to join our London‑based systematic hedge fund team. You will work on core trading systems, collaborating directly with traders to turn ideas into high‑performance trading tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain low‑latency trading applications.
• Identify and implement new techniques to improve trading algorithms and system performance.
• Work closely with traders to translate business ideas into scalable software solutions.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of mission‑critical, real‑time systems.

Required profile

• Strong object‑oriented programming expertise in C++, Java or C#.
• Degree in Computer Science or a numerate discipline (fresh graduates are not considered).
• Commercial awareness and ability to prioritize in a business context.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a willingness to share knowledge.

Required skills

• C++ / Java / C# programming.
• Experience with multithreaded and network software development.
• Cross‑platform development for Windows and Linux.
• Understanding of performance‑sensitive, real‑time systems.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
