Software Engineer – Public Sector & Cyber Security

About the role

Daintta is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing, values‑driven team. You will work directly with government clients in cyber security, national security, law enforcement and telecommunications, delivering data‑driven software solutions that protect the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with public‑sector clients to capture software engineering needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test and deploy high‑quality, secure code using industry best practices.
• Architect robust, scalable systems across multiple programming languages and frameworks.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to analyse feasibility, provide technical recommendations and ensure timely project delivery.
• Maintain clean, well‑documented code and enforce quality through testing, debugging and code reviews.
• Stay current with emerging tools and technologies and share knowledge within the team.
• Support client engagements, including pitches, presentations and strategic discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional experience as a software engineer, preferably in a consultancy or industry setting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a passion for delivering high‑quality solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies in a fast‑paced environment.
