Software Engineer – Webex Real-time Media Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Cisco’s Webex Real‑time Media Engineering Group in central London. You will help build and improve industry‑leading collaboration products such as Webex Meetings, Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center, delivering an immersive experience across devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deliver new features in an agile, full‑lifecycle environment.
• Participate in DevOps activities, manage highly available micro‑services and join an on‑call rotation.
• Tackle varied technical challenges with a data‑driven, quality‑focused approach.
• Write automated tests, investigate issues and ensure high attention to detail.
• Leverage AI tools in daily workflows and explore new AI‑enabled scenarios.
• Receive mentorship and formal training to grow your engineering skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related analytical field.
• At least 3 years of professional programming experience in C++.
• Hands‑on experience developing software on Linux.
• Understanding of virtualisation and container technologies, with practical Docker experience.
