Software Engineering Intern

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join Wexler’s engineering team in London. You will work alongside software and machine‑learning engineers, contributing to the agent infrastructure of our legal‑tech product and taking part in innovative “blue‑sky” projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and develop the agentic infrastructure supporting the product.
• Collaborate with the technical team to ideate, develop, and execute forward‑looking initiatives.
• Contribute to customer‑facing interfaces for legal professionals.
• Work with AI engineers to integrate large‑language‑model capabilities into production.
• Participate in technical architecture discussions and adopt engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 2026 graduate (or strong second‑year) from a top UK university in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Demonstrated passion for building software through personal projects, hackathons or open‑source contributions.
• Intellectually curious about applied AI and the legal‑tech domain.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Node.js and/or TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with a modern JavaScript framework, preferably React.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and CI/CD pipelines or containerisation (optional).
