Software Engineering Lead (Full Stack)

About the role

We are partnering with a national leading software solutions provider to find a Software Engineering Lead (Full Stack). You will own the technical delivery of a large‑scale digital transformation, working hands‑on while guiding a cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of the product roadmap, ensuring high‑quality, on‑time delivery.
• Define and enforce QA standards, testing, documentation and production stability.
• Establish predictable delivery processes with realistic estimates and transparent progress tracking.
• Design scalable system architecture and set engineering standards for coding, testing and releases.
• Embed security, data integrity and platform stability into all solutions.
• Partner with the CTO to shape technical strategy at board level.
• Mentor and develop a team of seven developers, creating structured learning plans.
• Spend ~60% of time coding, solving complex backend and frontend challenges.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO, Product Manager, QA and BA teams.

Required profile

• Proven senior technical leadership experience in full‑stack development.
• Strong hands‑on coding ability with a track record of delivering complex systems.
• Experience leading and mentoring small development teams.
• Ability to communicate technical direction to senior stakeholders.

What we offer

• Salary £70,000‑£80,000 per year plus bonus.
