Software Engineering Placement – 12.5‑Month Internship

About the role

Join Airbus' Laboratory Test Means Components (TMC) development team in Filton, Bristol for a 12.5‑month software engineering placement. You will contribute to the design, development and validation of test components that support aircraft landing‑gear and fuel‑system testing across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end development of Test Means Components, from capturing requirements to specifying solutions, coding, verification and integration on test rigs.
• Troubleshoot test‑rig issues, identify root causes and implement corrective fixes.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, testers and system architects, sharing knowledge and supporting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Currently studying for a degree in Electrical, Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering or IT.
• Team‑player with strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for international stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently within a structured placement.
