Software Quality & Validation Engineer – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Software Quality / Validation Engineer to join our team in Witney on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be responsible for validating internally developed, non‑product software that supports critical product testing and automation, ensuring compliance with strict regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the validation lifecycle for non‑product software used in testing and manufacturing.
• Manage software changes required for the introduction of new product types.
• Collaborate with automation and software teams to validate new automated test systems.
• Write, review, and execute validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and maintain lifecycle documentation.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with strong critical‑thinking and attention to detail.
• Experience in highly regulated sectors such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace or automotive.
• Understanding of software validation principles and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams without hindering innovation.

Required skills

• Software validation methodology (GAMP 5).
• Regulatory standards knowledge (21 CFR Part 11).
• Development and execution of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.
