Software Support Engineer

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative technology business as a Software Support Engineer. You will be involved from the final development stages of a new architecture‑focused application, gaining deep product knowledge before its launch and then providing ongoing technical support and enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the development team during the final stages of product development.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of the application’s functionality, architecture and codebase.
• Assist with testing, validation and quality assurance ahead of launch.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve software bugs and technical issues.
• Provide application support after launch and respond to user queries.
• Develop new features and enhancements based on feedback and business needs.
• Utilise AI‑assisted development tools as part of the ongoing development process.
• Contribute to future AI‑powered functionality such as intelligent knowledge‑base features.
• Maintain technical documentation and support continuous product improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Understanding of object‑oriented programming principles.
• Interest in working with modern AI‑assisted development tools.
• Motivation to work in a fast‑moving, pre‑launch environment.

Required skills

• Ruby programming language.
