Software Test Engineer - DV

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Software Test Engineer to join a leading technology consultancy that delivers secure, mission‑critical solutions for the UK Government and Defence sector. In this senior position you will work within a small, agile delivery team, embedding quality engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API and end‑to‑end testing.
• Execute both manual and automated functional, integration, regression and exploratory tests.
• Perform non‑functional testing such as performance, security, accessibility and Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).
• Integrate testing activities into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling and engineering standards.
• Mentor colleagues and promote best practices across delivery teams.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in manual and automated software testing.
• Proven ability to design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and CI/CD integration.
• Experience with modern testing approaches such as TDD, BDD and ATDD.
