Software Tester – Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Tester to join a leading UK housing and social care provider on a three‑year fixed‑term contract. The role is primarily remote, with occasional quarterly visits to the office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop test plans and test cases from requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory and usability testing.
• Identify, document and prioritise defects using Azure DevOps and work with developers to resolve them.
• Support regression testing and provide clear evidence for issue resolution.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, UX designers and business analysts throughout the sprint cycle.
• Maintain testing documentation, contribute to process improvement and explore automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manual or automation testing within an Agile environment.
• Ability to create and execute structured test plans and test cases.
• Experience with defect management tools such as Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.

What we offer

• Annual salary between £350,000 and £370,000 (GBP) – not publicly displayed.
