Solicitor (1-5 PQE) – Policy Coverage

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking a qualified solicitor (1‑5 PQE) to join its Policy Coverage team. You will manage a diverse portfolio of household and commercial property recovery files for leading insurers, providing technical legal advice and building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Initial case review, reporting and disclosure management
• Reviewing evidence, conducting investigations and instructing counsel and experts
• Legal research, drafting pleadings and correspondence
• Attending conferences, trials and ADR sessions, including mediation
• Negotiating settlements and preparing Part 36 offers
• Preparing pre‑action, interim applications and trial documents
• Ensuring compliance with SRA standards and regulations

Required profile

• Previous experience in a defendant insurance litigation firm
• Litigation experience in household and commercial recoveries
• Strong ability to prioritise workload and attention to detail
• Comfortable liaising with senior claims handlers and insurer clients

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems
