Solicitor (4+ PQE) – Product Liability

About the role

Keoghs LLP is looking for a qualified solicitor with at least four years post‑qualification experience to join its Property Risks and Coverage team in London. The role offers a hybrid working model with a minimum of one day per week in the office and the chance to work on high‑value product liability and insurance coverage claims across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Assist a Partner on complex, high‑value product liability cases, including document review, drafting bespoke coverage advice and conducting investigations.
• Manage an independent caseload from inception to resolution, handling court applications, settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
• Prepare first‑draft instructions for counsel and experts, and support all stages of litigation.
• Conduct legal research, analyse issues of coverage, liability, quantum and strategy, and attend client meetings and strategy sessions.
• Ensure compliance with SRA standards and regulations.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 PQE.
• Demonstrable experience in defendant product liability insurance litigation.
• Strong understanding of product liability, the Consumer Protection Act and breach of contract principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on high‑stakes matters.
