Solicitor – Disease Litigation

About the role

Keoghs LLP is expanding its disease litigation team in Glasgow and is looking for an experienced solicitor to manage a varied caseload of pre‑litigated and litigated disease claims. The role involves representing both insurer and uninsured clients, with a focus on forensic analysis and court work.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct forensic review and analysis of documents, liability, quantum and causation.
• Draft legal advice, court documents, correspondence and witness statements.
• Liaise with clients, conduct site visits and coordinate with experts and counsel.
• Assess files to determine litigation strategy and direction.
• Support partners and team members on complex claims.
• Contribute to business development through articles, blog posts, e‑shots and presentations, and attend relevant events.

Required profile

• Significant litigation experience, preferably with experience in Sheriff Court and Court of Session.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience with sensitive and complex claims is preferred.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
