Solicitor – Policy Coverage (3+ PQE)

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking an experienced solicitor to join its Property Risks and Coverage team. The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of one day per week in the London office, allowing you to manage complex property damage and insurance coverage claims across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a full caseload from inception to resolution.
• Assist senior lawyers on high‑value, complex claims exceeding £1 million.
• Review documents, draft bespoke coverage advice and legal opinions.
• Support all stages of litigation, including drafting applications, court proceedings and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct investigations, legal research and prepare instructions for counsel and experts.
• Attend client meetings, strategy sessions and conferences, taking notes and following up actions.
• Deliver training seminars and workshops to insurer clients on technical legal issues.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (FILEX) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Previous experience in defendant‑side property insurance litigation.
• Strong understanding of product liability, breach of contract, negligence, property law and insurance coverage matters.
