Solution Architect - Corporate Communications

About the role

We are supporting a major organisation undergoing a large‑scale digital transformation of its internal communications. The Solution Architect will lead the design and delivery of a modern employee communications platform, shaping end‑to‑end architecture across corporate communications technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define solution architecture for corporate communications and employee engagement platforms.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead architecture design workshops with senior stakeholders.
• Produce high‑level and detailed design documentation.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and security requirements.
• Support integrations across Microsoft 365, HR systems and other business applications.
• Provide technical leadership throughout delivery and implementation phases.
• Manage architectural risks and dependencies with project teams, vendors and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large, complex environments.
• Strong background delivering corporate communications or employee engagement platforms.
• Experience working with Blink, Workvivo, Staffbase or similar products.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies and integration patterns.
• Excellent stakeholder management at senior leadership level.
• Understanding of security, data privacy and enterprise integration principles.

What we offer

• Day rate of £550‑£650 (outside IR35) for a 6‑month contract.
• Hybrid working with one day per week on‑site in the Midlands.
