Solution Architect - Internal / Employee Communication

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑known UK brand to deliver a large‑scale Employee & Internal Communication programme. As a Solution Architect you will lead the design and implementation of the communication platform, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with the wider digital workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the end‑to‑end architecture for employee communication platforms.
• Design scalable, secure and resilient ecosystems supporting corporate messaging, operational alerts and frontline engagement.
• Create high‑level and detailed solution designs, integration architectures, data‑flow diagrams and security models.
• Develop technology roadmaps aligned with the broader digital workplace strategy.
• Evaluate and recommend platforms such as Staffbase, Workvivo, Blink, WorkJam, Zipline and Zebra Technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, programme leadership, security, infrastructure and vendor partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect on large transformation programmes.
• Strong background in digital workplace and employee engagement solutions.
• Ability to produce architectural artefacts and guide implementation teams.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.

What we offer

• £600‑£650 per day rate, outside IR35.
• Initial 6‑month contract with possibility of extension.
• Highly remote working with occasional on‑site days in the Midlands or Manchester.
