Solution Architect

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing financial services organisation to find an Interim Solution Architect on a contract basis. The role is hybrid, based in London, and blends advisory work with hands‑on solution design, influencing the next generation of technical and AI‑enabled offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into high‑quality solution architectures, creating logical and physical diagrams, integration patterns and data flows.
• Ensure designs adhere to enterprise architecture principles, technology roadmaps and security standards such as ISO 27001.
• Evaluate build‑vs‑buy options and lead technical assessments of software, platforms and cloud services.
• Support project mobilisation by establishing tooling, cloud environments, engineering standards and delivery patterns.
• Provide architectural guidance to delivery and IT security teams throughout the lifecycle, reviewing designs, code and configurations.
• Drive architectural governance, ensuring documentation accuracy, traceability and compliance.
• Incorporate AI/ML considerations, including data lineage, model integration and lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering complex solutions in a financial services context.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integration patterns and security frameworks.
• Ability to assess and recommend cloud services and platform technologies.
• Experience with AI/ML‑enabled solutions and data governance concepts.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business, IT and security stakeholders.
