Solutions Architect – Digital & Cloud Transformation

About the role

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Canopius Group IT division in Manchester. The role will drive the translation of business requirements into technical solutions across digital, cloud and BPM initiatives, supporting the company’s transformation programme.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse a wide range of business initiatives and design cohesive technical solutions aligned with the Technology vision.
• Work on enterprise‑scale programmes focusing on digital and cloud environments, including new development, application re‑engineering and integration.
• Ensure solutions meet internal architectural standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Document existing and proposed architectures for transformation projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and global teams, providing architectural guidance and oversight.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with digital applications, software engineering, microservices, cloud and BPM.
• Strong understanding of architectural concepts, methodologies and design patterns.
• Previous exposure to Azure cloud services (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to advise on system architecture design and deliver large‑scale integrated IT solutions.
