Solutions Architect – Public Sector Transformation

About the role

FDM Group is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join a major technology transformation programme for a public‑sector client. This six‑month contract (with strong extension potential) will be hybrid, supporting the design and delivery of ERP, CRM, CMS and document‑management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver solution architectures that meet business and user needs while aligning with organisational standards and strategic objectives.
• Provide technical leadership on technology choices, ensuring solutions are scalable, sustainable and cost‑effective.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, roadmaps and transition artefacts for complex programmes.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, delivery teams, project managers and senior stakeholders to ensure successful integration and implementation.
• Support architecture governance processes and assure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect within large‑scale transformation programmes and complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
