Sourcing Manager – Procurement & Inventory Lead

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Sourcing Manager to join a scientific‑based client in Burgess Hill. The role combines strategic procurement, inventory oversight and team leadership, operating on a hybrid schedule with 2‑3 days in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small sourcing team of three, handling workload planning and performance management.
• Oversee global sourcing activities to meet customer specifications and negotiate contracts, pricing, SLAs and delivery terms.
• Manage inventory forecasting, optimisation, stock levels, spend analysis and supply risk mitigation.
• Analyse sourcing data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and implement action plans.
• Act as escalation point for complex sourcing queries and collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, GDP, GMP, GCP and other regulatory standards, working closely with Quality teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, order fulfilment or customer service with a focus on team leadership.
• Ability to manage sourcing and inventory stages of the fulfilment process.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
