About the role

Join a growing collection of country pubs in the New Forest area as a Sous Chef. You will work in a relaxed, countryside setting, creating fresh, homemade dishes for busy Sunday roasts, weddings, private events and seasonal menus.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in day‑to‑day kitchen operations.
• Prepare and deliver high‑quality fresh dishes across all services.
• Assist with seasonal menu development and daily specials.
• Lead the kitchen team during peak periods.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Help with stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation.
• Contribute to private events, weddings and busy Sunday services.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef.
• Passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients and seasonal cooking.
• Calm, organised and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Reliability, motivation and desire to progress within a growing hospitality group.
