About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a family‑run gastro pub in Harpenden. The venue serves fresh, sustainable, seasonal dishes to 30‑50 covers daily and offers a supportive, professional environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all menu items as Sous Chef.
- Stand in for the Head Chef during their absence.
- Cook fresh produce and maintain high culinary standards.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment.
- Assist across all kitchen stations and keep your station tidy.
Required profile
- Proven Sous Chef experience.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Food Safety Level 2 certification.
