Sous Chef – Hotel Kitchen – Slough

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑known hotel in Slough to recruit an experienced Sous Chef. You will work alongside the Head Chef to ensure smooth daily operations across the restaurant, bar, banqueting and the on‑site golf course facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in planning menus, ordering supplies and controlling food costs.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff during service, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene.
• Oversee preparation for banquets, conferences, and special events, adapting to a wide range of guest requirements.
• Maintain health and safety compliance and manage kitchen inventory.
• Contribute to staff training and development programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Sous Chef in a 4‑star hotel environment.
• Proven experience in restaurant and banqueting service.
• Strong leadership, communication and calm under pressure.
• Ambitious, reliable and able to work independently.
