Sous Chef

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join Willowmere Care Centre, a specialist care home in North London. You will prepare high‑quality, nutritious meals for residents with complex nursing, dementia and mental health needs, ensuring each dish meets clinical and dietary requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in line with individual dietary plans, including modified and specialist diets.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation, hygiene and safety at all times.
• Contribute to menu planning and kitchen organisation to support a smooth daily service.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to promote resident wellbeing through food.

Required profile

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 qualifications or equivalent, or working towards a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Understanding of dietary requirements, especially modified or specialist diets.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
