Sous Chef – Part‑time (Bridgwater)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our award‑winning pub team in Bridgwater. Working side‑by‑side with the Head Chef, you will help deliver high‑quality, hot dishes while supporting a lively, customer‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as second‑in‑command in the kitchen, covering the Head Chef when required.
• Run the line during service, ensuring dishes are prepared to standard and delivered on time.
• Oversee, organise and motivate the kitchen team, helping develop their culinary skills.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a branded kitchen environment or as an experienced Commis Chef.
• Ability to work flexibly on part‑time, reliable‑hours contracts.
• Passion for food and a commitment to excellent service.

Required skills

• Proven kitchen operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and line management.
