SOX Analyst – Finance

About the role

Our client, a multinational energy group, is seeking a SOX Analyst to join their London finance team. The role will support the Group’s SOX compliance programme, working closely with finance, audit and external consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of the annual SOX compliance programme.
• Maintain process narratives, risk and control matrices and flowcharts.
• Perform walkthroughs, identify key risks and controls, and coordinate testing with external providers.
• Monitor control deficiencies, drive remediation with process owners and keep documentation up‑to‑date.
• Liaise with finance teams, auditors and consultants on SOX‑related matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• 1‑3 years experience in SOX, internal audit, external audit, risk or compliance.
• Good understanding of SOX and COSO frameworks.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Workiva (or similar compliance platforms).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
