Speaker Booker / Business Development Executive

About the role

Jane Leonard and PIECE by Piece are looking for a proactive, commercially‑minded professional to generate paid speaking opportunities. You will identify organisations that could benefit from Jane’s expertise, start conversations and turn them into booked engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Research relevant speaking opportunities and target organisations.
• Identify and contact potential clients via email, LinkedIn and phone.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of speaking opportunities.
• Follow up leads consistently and arrange introductory calls.
• Support proposal preparation and booking conversations.
• Keep Jane’s speaking calendar and opportunities organised.
• Identify podcast, PR, partnership and collaboration prospects.

Required profile

• Commercially minded and proactive.
• Confident initiating conversations with new contacts.
• Comfortable using phone, email and LinkedIn for outreach.
• Persistent yet not pushy, with strong follow‑up habits.
• Highly organised and able to work independently.
• Interest in performance, sport, leadership or personal development.
• Experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account management, recruitment or events is a plus.

What we offer

• £1,200 per month fixed fee plus 10% commission on paid speaking fees.
• On‑target earnings of approximately £1,800 per month.
• Approximately 15 hours per week.
• Predominantly remote work with occasional in‑person meetings, filming days and speaking engagements.
