About the role
We are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Specialist to lead inclusive learning support within a Further Education setting in Bristol. The role ensures that apprentices and learners with additional needs receive equitable access to education, training and progression opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, assess and provide targeted support for learners with additional needs.
- Develop and embed an inclusion framework across all departments.
- Serve as a key member of the safeguarding team, protecting vulnerable learners.
- Lead, develop and mentor a dedicated support team, setting clear objectives and KPIs.
Required profile
- Passionate about inclusive education and experienced in SEN support.
- Strong understanding of learner needs in a fast‑paced further education environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in inclusion or SEN.
Required skills
- Experience of leading SEN initiatives and managing support teams.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and inclusion frameworks.
