About the role
We are seeking passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) teachers to join schools in Canterbury and surrounding areas. The role involves delivering tailored, inclusive education for primary‑aged pupils with autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the unique needs of SEN pupils.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and multidisciplinary staff to support individual learning plans.
- Assess pupil progress regularly and adapt strategies to promote academic and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals.
- Uphold school safeguarding and SEN policies at all times.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching children with SEN, especially ASD, SEMH, and complex needs.
- Strong knowledge of appropriate strategies and interventions for primary‑aged pupils.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full legal right to work in the UK.
