Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our specialist school in Southend-on-Sea. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons that address the academic, social, emotional and communication needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement personalised learning programmes for each pupil.
- Develop and apply effective behaviour support strategies.
- Collaborate with therapists, support staff and families to ensure a holistic approach.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor progress and adjust teaching methods to maximise pupil achievement.
Required profile
- Experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or similar needs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to enabling every pupil to reach their full potential.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
- Driving licence or local residence in Southend area is advantageous.
