Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher – Secondary (Enfield)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a supportive secondary SEN school in Enfield from September. The role involves delivering differentiated lessons for pupils with a range of additional needs and fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and other special needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and external agencies to tailor learning pathways.
• Maintain strong classroom management and monitor individual progress against personalised targets.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school-wide inclusion initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching secondary students with special educational needs.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and assessment for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN strategies.
